The Anglican Church is a mainstream Christian denomination. We believe in a loving creator-God who cares tenderly for everything he has made. That includes you and me.
We experience him as Father thanks to the salvation won by Jesus Christ and applied to our lives through the life-giving Holy Spirit.
We believe that everyone needs to be right with God so that life can be experienced to the full here in this world and afterwards when we depart it.
We believe that our calling in life is to obey the commands of Christ to love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength and to love our neighbour (all others) as ourselves.

The Anglican Church traces its beliefs back to the earliest days of the Christian Church - to the teachings of Jesus Christ and the apostles as revealed in the New Testament. We embrace the great creeds of the church such as the Apostles Creed and the Nicene Creed. The doctrinal position of the Anglican Church is set out in the famous Thirty-nine Articles while the worship of the church is guided by A Prayer Book for Australia which is a derivative of the historic 1662 Book of Common Prayer.

Above all, the Anglican Church is committed to the Bible as its absolute rule of faith and conduct.
So too are West Tamar Anglicans.
